The Appeal
Rover’s ‘Continental Touring Kit’ hinted at the car’s touring potential, but it took specialist coachbuilder FLM Panelcraft to really exploit the theme. From 1969 until the end of P6 production in 1977 around 170 of the firm’s spacious and well-built ‘Estoura’ estate left the firm’s Batttersea works.
Just 30 Estouras are believed to survive. This early example is one of the desirable 3500 versions and is a very tidy, unmodified and original car in smart red with black leather interior. The car has been part of a Dutch private museum collection in recent years, when it was little used. In 2022, it received a €5,000 of work by Rondel Restauratie, and in September 2025, further recommissioning work covering servicing, fuel lines, brake system, light cosmetics and brightwork was completed. The car is now UK-registered with a V5 and all duties reportedly paid.
Practical and possessed of the P6’s usual extensive array of appealing attributes, this is a rare chance to acquire an Estoura.
