The Appeal
Combining a potent six-cylinder engine with the Spitfire's open-top body, here's a car that it's a wonder Triumph never made back in the day. The vendor states it "goes like a rocket", and we can well believe it...
Described as solid overall, with no history of major structural issues, this Spitfire was previously dry-stored for a number of years before the current owner acquired it six months ago. The interior has been refreshed, and the vendor reports it is in very good condition. Recent mechanical work has been extensive, covering several key components. It does need some finishing: cosmetic paintwork attention, indicator wiring completion, and a headlamp that may require work, but the hard graft appears to have been done.
