The appeal

Chevrolet aimed for a high-end, sophisticated audience keen to embrace its European-influenced style. But the car has since found its true calling in the booming lowrider scene, where its robust chassis-based construction lends itself easily to conversion to a hydraulic suspension system. Its classic American coupé look certainly helps too. This connection was made famous by its role in *Training Day*, where it was a third lead character alongside Ethan Hawke and Denzel Washington.

This white 1981 Monte Carlo is believed to be one of only 60 third-generation models registered in France, and was the last of its kind to be sold in the country.
