The Appeal
The E38 750 was BMW’s tour de force, a V12-powered limousine that cost the equivalent of £130,000 when new in 1996. Sources suggest just 412 were sold in the UK, of which just 299 were the pre-facelift model that we have here.
Finished in rare Navarra Violet with a grey leather and walnut cabin, it is a great opportunity for enthusiasts of these luxurious cars. The car has been with the current keeper since 2013 and has been in storage for the last three years. It is said to start and run, and benefits from recent work to the brake and hydraulic lines, as well as new shock absorbers. There is also a rebuilt starter motor. It will require a check over and MOT prior to sale, with the vendor recommending that the injectors also need cleaning.
The car appears to be complete and largely standard. There is a useful LPG system that will make it cheaper to use; the system was serviced three years ago. Once back on the road, this is a chance to experience peak 90s BMW.
The vendor says:
“Great vehicle, always starts first time. Needs small jobs doing, mostly cosmetic. Ideal for a project that won't need too much work.”
