The Appeal
In typical Porsche fashion, the Cayenne started brilliantly and merely got more brilliant as time went. This 2007 facelift car is a case in point because it features the revised 500 bhp 4.8 L twin-turbo V8.
The trick with any Cayenne purchase is to get the right specification and find one that has been properly looked after. This car’s smart appearance and good history file answer both points. Recent work includes a service in early 2025, new air suspension compressor pump, front brake pads, new battery, ABS module and a wheel bearing.
Sold with a fresh MOT, this brutally quick luxury SUV is both a family wagon and an engaging drive.
The vendor says:
“A supremely comfortable and capable SUV that is modern enough to have the level of electronics that most people come to expect, but without the ultra-modern nannying devices that most new cars now come with. The V8 is far more 'go' than 'show,' it isn't intrusive to the occupants, but it will send you down the road with surprising acceleration. The addition of a split tailgate adds to the car's practicality, and brilliant all-round visibility makes driving around town easy. The looks are definitely divisive, but the first-generation Cayenne's facelift was a definite improvement, and the change from the 4.5L V8 to the 4.8L V8 addressed all of the earlier model's reliability horror stories.”

The vendor says:
“Engine runs strong and starts fine with no knocks, rattles or untoward noises, all forward gears and reverse are functional, and the low range gearbox engages and operates correctly. Air suspension operates correctly across all five ride height settings. PDCC Sports mode operates correctly. Semi-automatic shifting via the lever and the steering wheel paddles is functional and works as intended as does the vehicle's onboard computer functions via the right-hand steering column stalk. Xenon headlamps operate and self-level correctly. I am not aware of any modifications done to the vehicle and have no paperwork on file to suggest any have been undertaken in its past. There is an intermittent fault caused by a failing yaw sensor, which clears when the car is restarted - I have purchased a genuine replacement part but have been unable to get my local Porsche specialist to replace it in time for sale.”
