The Appeal

The Puma-era Defender represents the final chapter of a vehicle whose fundamental architecture endured for decades. The introduction of the 2.4-litre TDCi common-rail diesel brought modern fuelling and improved refinement to a platform still defined by its mechanical directness and off-road ability.

This 2008 example has been subjected to a frame-off restoration rather than a cosmetic refresh. The body was separated from the chassis, and the mechanical systems were rebuilt. Inside, a Lucari burgundy leather interior with heated Corbeau front seats has been fitted, along with an Audison audio system, Dynamat sound deadening and a rear-view camera. A roll cage, aluminium steering guard and 18-inch XTR1 alloy wheels with BFGoodrich KO2 all-terrain tyres are also fitted. Reportedly backed by restoration invoices totalling approximately €67,800 and with around 4,000 km of post-restoration use, this is a well-documented rebuild ready for its next keeper.
