The Appeal
The GTS was Maserati’s hand-built riposte to BMW’s M5, a 400bhp super saloon drizzled with Pininfarina styling and Poltrona Frau luxury. At close to £100,000 including must-have extras, it’s not surprising that only 667 pre-facelift 4.2L cars were built, and only a tiny handful were RHD examples like this 2008 one. Alongside the performance upgrades, the GTS got the quicker ZF dual-clutch auto box and sharper Bilstein suspension.
Its Blu Mediterraneo paintwork and lovely two-tone blue-and-cream leather-and-suede interior are even rarer still. The car came factory fitted with over £6,000 of options, including the special order paintwork. Since 2018 it has been in the hands of the current keeper, who has maintained and serviced it regularly using well-regarded Maserati specialists. In 2024 alone it received over £7,000 of work covering a service, new shock absorbers and rear discs and pads. It has covered less than 2,000 miles since.
There are a few points to note in the interior and exterior photos, but with an MOT to September 2027, it is ready to go.
