Description

The Ruby and Pearl model were introduced towards the end of the Seven production and represented quite a refined car compared with its earlier siblings. The interior was well trimmed, the seats comfortable and it had a front opening windscreen, sliding sunroof and wind-down windows to the front and rear. Still powered by the 747cc engine, the four-speed gearbox boasted synchromesh in 2nd, 3rd and fourth gears.

This Austin 7 Ruby was first registered in 1938 in Gloucester, and more recent times it had found its way to Cornwall.

The engine is very sweet, it starts and runs well with good oil pressure. It sounds strong and goes along very nicely.

The drivetrain is in good order with no nasty noises. It handles the road well, and is a pleasure to drive.

The body is very solid with no corrosion to the underside, it is likely to have been a concours car when first restored. The paintwork has been finished to an extremely high standard which has now mellowed and gained charm, if your looking for immaculate we probably don't have what your looking for!

The interior was also gained some extra features with a wooden overlay to the dash and window surrounds, the seats look largely original with plenty of character.

We have a large history file including the current V5.
