Overview
The 356 SC represents the pinnacle of the original lineage of Porsche sports cars. The most powerful and most refined version of the 356, it came from the factory with disc brakes and a 95 hp engine. It remains one of the most sought-after air-cooled Porsches. Examples prepared to the Outlaw philosophy, which combine the model's iconic silhouette with performance upgrades and bespoke touches, attract particular attention.
This 1964 example has undergone a complete restoration in the Outlaw spirit. The shell has been stripped right back, with replacement of the floor pan, door pillars, longitudinals, door panels and battery tray, before receiving fresh paint in Togo Brown.
The engine has been rebuilt with a 1,720 cc Big Bore kit and a balanced crankshaft. It is mated to a rebuilt four-speed manual gearbox. Fuchs wheels and a Carrera-style bonnet complete the Outlaw look, while a bespoke roll bar adds a sporting touch to the cabin, which is trimmed in full-grain caramel leather.
The restoration is documented with photographs, and the vehicle is accompanied by an appraisal and an inspection carried out by a specialist. Matching numbers are noted. The vendor describes the bodywork, paint and mechanicals as first class. With only 354 km covered since the work was completed, the engine is still in its running-in period.

✓ We also check whether vehicles are recorded as written off following a total loss at the time the listing is placed on Car & Classic, and we provide write-off category labels (Cat C/D/S/N) to help you. However, the presence or absence of a label does not guarantee the vehicle's status, and it is always worthwhile carrying out a full vehicle history check before making an offer on it.
