Appeal
While purists favour flat-floor E-Types, those seeking the ultimate driving experience will opt for a Series 1 4.2 with a synchronised manual gearbox. This 1967 Jaguar E-Type Coupé “Fixed Head” left the factory with left-hand drive on 12 May 1967 and was shipped on 25 September 1967 to France. It benefited from a complete restoration in 1991 and a cosmetic refresh in November 2024 in a superb deep opalescent green. Paired with a carefully restored beige interior, it really makes the car stand out.
The work carried out is of excellent quality. In addition to cosmetic enhancements, the original numbered engine was rebuilt in 2015. The gearbox was also rebuilt at that time and new tyres were fitted in 2022.

The seller, the fifth owner, acquired the car in September 2022. It has been prepared for international rallying and has taken part in historic events in Morocco and New Zealand, among others. Always stored in a heated garage, this E-Type benefits from numerous technical improvements: 4-speed gearbox, upgraded brakes and optimised suspension.
The historical file includes the original French invoice from November 1967, an available independent valuation, restoration photos and invoices covering many years. Technical inspection valid until June 2027 and a very important Jaguar Heritage certificate.

As an E-Type delivered in France, this example should not be confused with other American-imported cars associated with left-hand drive. Importantly, the history file appears to contain a number of old photographs of this 1967 E-Type in its original beige colour, as well as many photos of its international use in its current colour combination. The Jaguar Heritage certificate confirms that the car retains its original numbered engine. The car today presents in very good condition.
1E 34374 is in excellent mechanical condition and its 4.2-litre engine runs beautifully. The bodywork shows well, benefitting from the 2024 cosmetic retouch in the striking opalescent dark green colour.
1E 34374 is supplied with detailed documentation. This late-Series 1 example blends the iconic early styling with the significant mechanical improvements brought by the 4.2-litre engine. Not to be confused with a later production car, this specimen is intended to be used and enjoyed by its new custodian, as the seller collector has done.
