The Appeal
While purists prefer flat-sump E-Types, those seeking the best driving experience will opt for a Series 1 4.2 with a synchronized manual gearbox. This 1967 Jaguar E-Type Coupé “Fixed Head” left the factory with left-hand drive on 12 May 1967 and was shipped to France on 25 September 1967. It received a full restoration in 1991 and an aesthetic refresh in November 2024 in a superb deep opalescent green. Coupled with a carefully restored beige interior, this car really stands out.
The work carried out is of excellent quality. In addition to cosmetic improvements, the original numbered engine was rebuilt in 2015. The gearbox was also redone at that time and new tires were fitted in 2022.

The seller, the fifth owner, acquired the car in September 2022. It has been prepared for international rallies and has competed in historic events in and New Zealand, notably. Always parked in a heated garage, this E-Type benefits from numerous technical upgrades: 4-speed gearbox, enhanced brakes and optimized suspension.
The history file includes the original November 1967 French invoice, an available independent valuation, restoration photos and work invoices covering many years. Technical inspection valid until June 2027 and a very important Jaguar Heritage certificate.

The condition
As a E-Type delivered in France, this example should not be confused with other cars imported from America associated with left-hand drive. Importantly, the history file appears to contain a number of old photographs of this 1967 E-Type in its original Beige color, as well as many photos of its international use in its current color combination. The Jaguar Heritage certificate confirms that the car retains its original numbered engine. The car today presents itself in very good condition.
1E 34374 is in excellent mechanical condition and its 4.2-liter engine runs beautifully. The bodywork presents well, benefiting from its cosmetic repaint in 2024 in the striking deep opalescent green.
1E 34374 is delivered with detailed documents. This late-Series 1 example blends the iconic early styling with the significant mechanical improvements brought by the 4.2-liter engine. Not to be confused with a later production car, this example is intended to be used and enjoyed by its new keeper, as the seller collector has done.
