1982 Fiat Ritmo Abarth 125TC

Strong points

  • One of the rare 125TCs
  • Slightly modified rally car
  • Restored in 2017 with only 17,000 kilometres driven since then
  • Sports car from the 1980s

The most

Fiat's Ritmo was initially conceived as a credible rival to the VW Golf. With its clean design, it was a credible rival to the German, and the gradual addition of sports versions presented by Abarth could (should?) have cemented its success.
It didn't quite work out that way, however, despite the power of these Abarth models. The evolution of a successful rally car developed by engineer Colucci, these were the last Abarths to be built on a dedicated factory line. All used Lampredi's legendary twin-cam engine and were renowned for their firepower compared to the GTI.

The 125TC was introduced at the end of 1981 in response to the rather lukewarm reception given to the 105TC. It was only available for a year before the arrival of the 'second series' 130TC in 1983 and is now exceptionally rare.

Restored and - in keeping with its origins - slightly modified for rally specification, this 125TC is in very good condition. This is a rare opportunity to discover one of the best, most powerful but often overlooked sports cars of the 1980s.
