The R129 was a significant turning point. The result of Mercedes-Benz's approach of putting engineering first, it further developed the great qualities of the R107 to offer buyers a more elegant, modern and advanced convertible suitable for long journeys.
The 300SL 24V is one of the most interesting models in the range, with a very robust and rather powerful engine that matches the R129's relaxed nature. Very few of these cars were ordered with a manual gearbox, but this is one of them. This allows the driver to take advantage of the agile chassis hidden by its elegant GT lines.
This 300 SL is an exceptional specimen. It is a car with very low mileage, with only three owners from new, the last since 2013. A complete restoration and meticulous maintenance add further appeal.
Most recently, Mercedes-Benz installed a new fuel pump and repaired the roof pistons. This is one of the best examples of this much-loved classic that we have seen recently and is truly an opportunity not to be missed.

Auto-bidding increments
- If your maximum bid is equal to or below the reserve price, your maximum bid will be applied in full if you are the highest bidder.
- If you are the highest bidder and place a maximum bid above the reserve, we will automatically put in the reserve as your first bid.
