Full cosmetic restoration over an extended period returning to the road after a full service costing £1, 009 in 2015 and only around 1, 700 miles have been covered since. We have receipts for over £7, 000 spent since 2009.

Due to the recent long term full cosmetic restoration this Jag shows very little wear, it is unmolested and has always been garaged. The straight six engine starts instantly and sounds lovely. The leather is in lovely as new condition and really makes this a unique motor car as is the interior carpet. The Burr Elm woodwork is in nearly perfect condition and is about the only cosmetic part of the car that has not been restored. There are very few marks on the resprayed coachwork and the refurbished 15 inch Starfish Alloy Wheels are in perfect condition with recent tyres. The boxed toolkit is included as well as the large tools and the owners manual as well as other literature. The Jaguar Leaper Bonnet Mascot is also included as well as the rare cherished numberplate which can be transferred and sold.
These XJ-SC models are very rare now as only 5, 013 were built between 1983 and 1988, 73, 207 Original Pre Facelift XJS cars were built between 1982 and 1991 in total. The Cabriolet offers various forms of open or closed motoring while still retaining the full boot capacity and the 2+2 seating with rear quarter windows compared to the later convertible models. This example with the 3. 6 Litre 221 bhp engine and 5 speed manual gearbox offers the most sporty involved drive whilst also being the most economical and easy to maintain model, it is the closest XJS to an E-Type. The detachable targa roofs and lowering rear section mean this cabriolet does not suffer the flexing and scuttle shake along with mechanical roof issues which plague the later convertibles.
This desirable low ownership late model XJ-SC has been pampered and used sparingly, especially since the expensive restoration, luckily XJS values are rising fast so I am sure it will have been worthwhile for future investment potential, it has only covered around 100 miles in the last year.
