Up for sale this absolutely stunning 1971 Triumph Tr6 in lovely Sapphire Blue.
Having undergone a full ground up restoration in the US over the past 5 years or so, she is presented in pristine condition and ready to be enjoyed. Imported from dry State Louisiana 4 years ago, where she has spent all her life to that point, she was converted to RHD and has been dry stored since, having covered a total of just 300 miles since completion. The bodywork, interior, roof and mechanicals have been completely renewed to an extremely high standard, and she is as clean underneath as on top with a pristine rust free chassis the like of which you would never find on a UK car, a huge and interesting history file dating back to the 70’s and comprehensive receipts to verify the huge amount spent to return this car to “Show” condition.
The engine has been completely rebuilt and the head converted to run on unleaded fuel. With the exception of some carefully considered upgrades such as electronic ignition and spin on oil filter, she is in standard spec. Running on twin strombergs, she now develops an impressive, 128. 5 bhp at 4500 rpm, she is a joy to drive. Fitted with “A” type overdrive working smoothly on 2nd 3rd and 4th gear. Sold with 11 month MOT, shod with brand new Goodyear Efficient Grip tyres, the geometry has all been set up and she’s ready to go.
