Supplied by Wolverhampton Jaguar on 29/ 5/ 93 to Mr F of Whitstone. I took ownership of this vehicle on 20/ 7/ 14.
During my ownership the car has been used for classic scenic drives during the summer [approx one a month ] and the occasional show on display .
3000 mile Classic insurance policy for approx £100
Current mileage 75953 [might increase slightly as car is in use]
Very pleased with the low cost of ownership - apart from routine service [not expensive]the following have been replaced
May 2015 it was fitted with new dist cap, rotor arm , ign leads & plugs following a slight misfire after winter storage.
2018 New battery from Halfords [gtee in p/ w]
Tyres are filled with nitrogen [2016]
Dec 2018 - refurbished starter, new coilpack & various checks to resolve starting problem

The car was top of the range when new [believed to have cost £63k] and in addition the first owner specified a lot of extras – cream seats with red piping; gold trim to dash etc; picnic tables , reading lamps & privacy blinds for rear passengers ; In-period Daimler factory fitted Panasonic in-car phone @ £1800 [not currently connected] .
Power seats with memory , power windows , electric sunroof, tilt steering wheel , air con , factory fitted alarm.
There is also a jaguar boot-mtd CD player [untested]
There are only 160 on the road [Q4-2017] – only 9 of 1993 vintage.

All dashboard warning lights come on & go off as they should
Rust free wheel arches and wings
Rust free boot floor
Electric seats , windows , sunroof work as they should
Automatic gearbox fine incl kick-down & sports mode
Not so good points
Small amount of lacquer missing FOS wheel arch
Some rust spots to sunroof
Headlining sagging at rear [was when I bought it in 2014]
Cigar lighters not working [replacements supplied]
Some rust to ROS overrider [replacement supplied]
Intermittent fault with park sensor to gear lever -[been advised its a 10 min job if you have access to a lift]---hasn't reoccurred since 2017
SOME BRIEF INFO FROM PREVIOUS OWNER
Chris [the reg keeper before me ] was a personal friend of the previous owner[J G] who had a collection of 29 cars. Chris also managed the collection together with a couple of mechanics. Chris's name was on the V5 only in order to effect the sale following the death of JG. After the family decision to sell the car it was re-MOTd just prior to advertising in June 2014.
The following is a brief summary from that “for sale” ad and answers to my questions prior to purchase.

Full service history upto 2006 . We serviced the car in January 2014
Replacement starter motor fitted at that time . Also two new tyres.
Unbelievable torque, all gear changes as they were when they left the factory, engine whisper quiet, no smoking overheating or noises
Perfect wedding car – ready to go
Kept in a private collection until recently [Jan 2014]
