In Arctic Silver with black leather interior, this car has been subject to a full inspection including a bore scope, and passed with flying colours. EXTERIOR
The Arctic Silver paintwork is in excellent condition, with just a few minor stone chips evident on the front bumper. There are no dents or scratches to any of the body panels.
INTERIOR
The black leather interior of the car is in impeccable condition, with virtually no signs of wear to the seats, carpets, headlining, dashboard or control surfaces – the steering wheel, gear knob and handbrake lever all with minimal wear. The car is fitted with automatic climate control which works perfectly, Becker Porsche CD-R24 radio/ CD player, PSM Porsche Stability Management, rear parking sensors and xenon headlights.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
When considering a Gen 1 Cayman and especially a 3. 4 S model, it is vital to check the condition of the engine, with specific reference to bore scoring which can affect this version of the M97 engine. When Flat Six Classics buy a 987. 1 Cayman, we ensure that there is no bore scoring by inspecting the insides of the affected cylinders using an endoscope with camera attached. HF07 KOH showed absolutely no signs of bore scoring when inspected, and this was reinforced when we looked at engine data using our Durametric diagnostic software, which gave a clean rev range report with minimal recorded ignitions in Range 1, and none in ranges 2 – 6. The data also shows just 1, 360 operating hours, which is quite low for a 54, 000 mile car and indicative of a car that has had a relatively easy life on A roads and motorways, not stuck in traffic in urban areas.
On the road, the car drives superbly, pulling strongly through the gears, with a light clutch and precise gearchange. The howl from the flat-six engine above 5000rpm is particularly addictive!
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
HF07KOH is fitted with newly refurbished 18” five spoke alloy wheels, which are perfect inside and out and look great with coloured Porsche crest centre caps and new wheel bolts. The wheels are shod with N rated Bridgestone Potenza RE-050A tyres (brand new on the rear). The red Brembo calipers with white PORSCHE script are unmarked, and the brake discs and pads are also in great condition. Brake pedal feel and braking power is excellent.

FLAT SIX CLASSICS PREPARATION
In preparing the car for sale, we have carried out a Yearly check, replaced the air conditioning condensers and re-gassed the A/ C system. All four wheels have been professionally refurbished and new rear tyres fitted. A set of new wheel bolts completes the picture.
