Just in at Roman Garages is this lovely little Austin 7 RN Saloon. This car has been in the hands of its last owner for over 6 years, and is roadworthy, reliable and registered with V5 and number plate 968XUP. Chassis number is 150905. It started life on the Isle of Wight, and has just 2 former keepers since March 1932.
The RN nomenclature identifies this as the long-wheelbase steel saloon. Between 1922 and 1939 290, 000 Sevens of all body types were produced, powered latterly by Austin's own 4-cylinder 747cc side-valve engine developing 12hp and capable of up to 50 mph.
This car was restored approximately 10 years ago and is finished in Burgundy and Black and more recently an engine overhaul including a rebore and new pistons, valves, etc.
