EXTERIOR
The Pastel Blue exterior paint is in terrific condition throughout. Whilst it has had paintwork throughout its life, it is in marvellous condition. When looking down the sides of the car, there are no obvious ripples or large amounts of filler that is usually associated with cars of this era. One must remember that this is a car over 58 years old, so it is not perfect.
INTERIOR
The Blue vinyl is in great order for the age and matches very well with the exterior of the car. Age related wear can be found on various carpeting and interior trim. Inside has the unmistakeable smell of a car from the 60s, it is a wonderful place to be.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
This Austin A40 idles very well and the gearbox works perfectly. The car performs as one expects it to, considering the age and era of this car.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The wheel trims are in good condition and all the tyres have good tread.
HISTORY
This Austin A40 was first registered in September 1960 and comes with various documentation, including original Austin handbooks and old MOTs to back the low mileage up. The handbooks even have that “old car smell” associated with this era of vehicle. This car would make a great addition to any collection and almost certainly will appreciate with time in monetary terms. This car will be sold as seen due to the age of this vehicle.
