This one has just arrived, and has come to us from long term storage.
It’s a while since we’ve seen one quite as original as this, and despite its age and mileage, it carries its original paint to both bodywork, and frame.
Please just ask if you’d like me to forward you some pics of that bike that you can zoom in on and get an accurate perspective on the condition. All of the usual Boxer areas of corrosion on the frame, suspension, etc, are totally original, and not over painted. Tyres are new.
We’ve lightly re commissioned the bike, with new battery, oils, etc, and sit fires instantly, from hot or cold. Oil, neutral and charge lights operate as they should, and a compression check shows healthy bores. There are no signs of exhaust smoke, again, either hot or cold. The bike is also fitted with a full stainless steel exhaust system, crash bars, twin front Brembo brakes, and the auxiliary clocks set in the dash.
Now we price our BMWs to sell, and we’ve taken the high mileage into account, but this must be the best value Airhead boxer on the market. It will come with a fresh MOT at point of sale, and i’m Sure that we’ll be able to dig out a set of panniers to go with the bike.
