First built 4thOctober 1965 at the Healey Abingdon factory, this 3000 MKIII BJ8 is a desirable phase II car featuring all the refinements and increased power available to the 3000 chassis through ten years development.
At present day this example presents beautifully, finished in its original colours of Healey Blue Metallic with Blue interior trim, highly upgraded and modernised for road use with an uprated engine including Denis Welch head, electronic ignition, upgraded cooling system with electric fan, works style overdrive on gear lever, increased heat insulation to cabin and underside, driving spot lamps and more. The car is fitted with a chrome luggage rack, which is easily removable and makes no unsightly holes to the bodywork. This long list of upgrades makes the car especially pleasant to drive in and enjoy.
HKH 134C was fully refurbished in by a well-known Healey specialist from the ground up with great care and attention to detail taken to the bodywork, chassis, engine and drivetrain plus suspension. The car has been in present ownership since 2006 and was purchased from a Swiss private collection with only 2, 000 miles on it at that time. Since then the car has had regular annual maintenance and sympathetic usage only.
