"The Citroen Traction Avant, took a giant step in the automotive industry when they were first introduced at the Paris Motor Show in 1934. Designed by André Lefèbvre and Flaminio Bertoni, they distinguished themselves from the others by many reasons, among them, the front wheel drive, the monocoque body and the independent suspension on the 4 wheels. Due to their exceptional characteristics, they were used extensively during World War II, by the German occupation army, the Gestapo and the French Resistance. Even nowadays in France, many call it "La Reine de la route", that is, the Queen of the roads"
