One of a total 455 home market, right hand drive Austin Healey 3000 MKIIA (BJ7) models made. A total of 6, 113 were constructed from 1962-63, making these cars considerably rarer than the later BJ8 models of which 17, 712 were made. In 1962, the year of this car’s production just 126 cars were made for all RHD markets.
The BJ7 MKIIA models are coveted for featuring all the refinements of wind up windows and the 'pram style hood' plus the enhanced aesthetics of the later BJ8 models cars, whilst retaining the original Gerry Coker designed cockpit over the later wood dash interior which were designed for the American market.
