This Lorinser GS03 based on a Mercedes SL500 comes with a private plate that matches the model number. (GS03) The car is in fact a 2004 car and has currently covered around 39000 miles. It had a brand new MOT on January 8th with no advisories. This Lorinser drives like no other SL I have ever driven.. It comes from Lorinser a renowned Mercedes-Benz customizer from Germany and is number 05 of only 50 cars built to this standard. For the last 40 years Adolf Koch has been working for the company Lorinser. As the head of design and development Mr Koch is now celebrating the realization of a long held dream: to build a pure sports car which sets itself apart from all others. The study of this ambitious project was presented at the IAA in Frankfurt this past Septmeber by the renowned Mercedes-Benz customizer Lorinser: The GS03 based on the SL500.
The optic of the GS03 from Winnenden is simply breathtaking. The Lorinser engineers created an elaborate styling package, which impresses both with its dynamic visual strength and elegant design. The front end is dominated by the wider and split front bumper spoiler with integrated headlights. The air intakes convey pure performance. Notable is the newly styled front grill with its large Lorinser logo. A spectacular appearance is guaranteed though the widened fenders. Particularly here the Swabian tuner’s decades of experience becomes apparent, with the exceptional fit and finish and tight tolerances of every part. The design is no less exceptional. The sporty fender air intakes and wide side skirts support the dynamic door lines of the original model. It is a tempting invitation to take your place in the sports car and enjoy an unforgettable driving experience.
The sporty concept reaches its crescendo with the breath taking rear view of the Lorinser GS03. The innovatively styled, wide rear spoiler bumper projects both power, and strength while exuding elegance. This is attained with a dynamic line and air intakes on both sides. The focal point is a centrally placed dual exhaust system with chrome endpipes, which has been perfectly integrated into the rear spoiler bumper. To realize this, a completely new exhaust system had to be developed for the GS03. The system not only adds to the good looks of the Swabian sports car, but creates a full, sonorous sound and adds performance.
Looks aren’t everything. Following this lead, the Lorinser engineers induced performance for the GS03, to meet the expectations for this pure sports car. By means of a supercharger the original 306hp were improved to an impressive 401hp at 5750rpm and 530Nm at 4300rpm. In combination with the specifically designed sports exhaust it accelerates this super-luxury cabriolet to 60mph in 5. 6seconds, almost a second faster than the original model. The additional performance makes for pure driving enjoyment. The Lorinser sport exhaust, which was specifically tuned to the GS03 and its performance, contributes its share to the driving enjoyment.
To match the sporty appearance of the vehicle from Winnenden, the two piece LM6 wheel with its dynamic yet elegant „turbine” style spokes was chosen. This exceptional and fully polished wheel is fitted in 9. 0x20 in the font and 11x20 on the rear.
Virtually all customer wishes can be realized in the interior by the renowned Swabian company, „a la carte”. Each GS03 comes with its own identification plaque and serial number. The series is limited to 50. Every one is truly unique.
Not only did Adolf Koch realize a dream for himself, but also for sports car enthusiasts everywhere.
