Description
FOR SALE: A manual C4S in sublime Lapis Blue Metallic, with 50k miles from new.
EQUIPMENT
Lapis Blue paintwork, Graphite Grey leather upholstery, UK-supplied (C16), Blue seat belts (XSW), Brake calipers in red, Stainless steel door entry guards with logo (X70), Gear knob and handbrake lever with aluminium inlays (X97/ X98), Headlamp washer (288), CD compartment (424), Rear window wiper (425), Electrically-adjustable front seats with driver’s seat memory, Top-tinted windscreen (567), Xenon headlamps (601), Rear parking sensors (635), Electric sunroof (650), Preparation for CD changer (689), CD player, tailored overmats in black.
EXTERIOR
Resplendent in Lapis Blue the bodywork looks magnificent, exhibiting a deep glossy shine throughout. Under close examination there are very few blemishes to speak of, the worst being some light road rash at the bottom of the rear arches. There are no unsightly dings or scratches to the wide body, and the headlights are still looking nice and clear. This example also boasts parking sensors at the rear.
INTERIOR
The Graphite Grey upholstery makes for an airy cabin space and the factory-spec’d blue seatbelts add a welcome touch of colour. Supple leather extends to the steering wheel, dash, door cards, and rear seats that look as if they have never been sat in. The electrically adjustable front seats are free from any damage and the pale carpets are unspoiled having always been protected by a set of tailored overmats. An aftermarket CD player is fitted with Bluetooth and USB connectivity.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The water-cooled 3. 6 launches the C4S from 0-60 in 5 seconds and on to 174mph. This example has always been well maintained regardless of mileage, with twelve Porsche/ Specialist stamps present in the original service booklet. The IMS bearing was replaced with the LN Engineering upgrade in 2013 along with the clutch, and both radiators were replaced in December 2017.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The 18-inch ‘Turbo’ alloys look brilliant in bright silver with the correct C4S centre badges. They’re curb-free all round aside from the nearside rear, which is lightly chipped. The wheels are wrapped in Continental tyres with at least 5mm of tread remaining at each corner. The discs and pads were replaced 7k miles ago and the brake fluid 5k miles ago.
HISTORY FILE
The 911 was first registered in April 2002. Servicing has been carried out at the following mileages: 2k, 3k, 6k, 10k, 13k, 18k, 20k, 22k, 27k, 34k, and 42k miles. The first nine stamps are from Porsche main dealers, the remainder being from renowned specialists. The clutch was replaced at 27k miles as was the all-important IMS bearing; this work was carried out by Autofarm Porsche at a cost of £2, 500. Both radiators were replaced in 2017.
