An exceptionally well cared for example, originally supplied in August 1989 on Guernsey to the Chairman of Bachmann & Co, before arriving in the UK in 1996, covering 25k miles during that period. For the next 19 years the car remained in the same ownership, used sparingly for occasional summer drives, and covering just 7k miles in that period ! A service was religiously carried out every year at MOT time throughout that period. The last owner acquired the car in 2015, and has since had two services carried out, one being a major at Pentland Jaguar main agents in Edinburgh in May 2018. Invoice is present for £6800. Many perishable and precautionary items were changed, bringing the car up to a now exemplary standard. The car has just been part exchanged with myself for a modern XKR Convertible. All books, spare keys, tonneau cover , toolkit and jack remain intact their correct location. Even the original radio cassette remains in place, and works perfectly ! A nice history file has been kept with the car. Always garaged, so never suffered from dampness or sun bleaching of veneers and never used on winter roads, hence preserving the cars underside in corrosion free condition. Prime examples such as this are becoming ever harder to source, with values trickling upwards in the shadow of their E Type predecessor all the time.
