85, 000 miles - This Daimler has sat in our personal collection and was purchased with the intention of restoring however with so many projects on the go, we have decided to let it go to a new home. The original owner owned it from 1990 up until 2012 having first paid £42, 000 for it new.
It comes with a host of paperwork to accompany its ownership including mostly receipts from Jaguar main dealers and specialists together with the original dealer pack and price list details.
The Daimler presents itself very well but does need some work to bring it up together. There are visible signs of rust to the bodywork, the usual headlining is sagging and parts of the wooden trim require re-lacquering. Added to this, the suspension also needs looking at to get it riding correctly. The leather interior is in excellent overall condition and the rear wooden picnic tables are unmarked. The spare wheel and boot load liner are also present and correct. The Daimler sits on four matching Dunlop Sport 100 tyres, each of which have good tread, and are the correct specification for the car.
Extensive test drives are available on private land to fully appreciate this car. The Daimler 4. 0 is a sought after and very rare model among the XJ40 Series and with only 85, 000 miles, this car deserves the very best.
