This 1967 Healey 3000 BJ8 Phase 2 is one of the very last of its type as production ended later in '67. These offer more comforts and refinements than earlier cars with an easier folding soft top, wind up windows with opening quarter windows, centre console with arm rest, separate indicators and improved ground clearance. This is a matching numbers car, as verified by the British Motor Heritage Certificate.
The car was dispatched on January 18th 1967 to a Postman who had come in to some money and decided to treat him self. He sold it just over a year later to a Healey enthusiast who kept it until his new family dictated the purchase of something more practical. This matching numbers car has clearly been cherished by its subsequent owners as it still has its original interior with correct piping and embossed pattern to rear seats and side panels.
Recent expenditure includes a new soft top and rebuilding of carbs. Recent history also shows much expenditure on maintaining the cars mechanical condition. A 2013 repaint ensures the car still looks bright and fresh today.
The car will come supplied with 12 months MOT.
