Presented by Mercedes-Benz as a spiritual successor to the legendary 300SL Gullwing, the SLS was the first automobile designed and built entirely from scratch by the AMG.
This magnificent mid-front engined, rear-wheel drive with transaxle two-seater was developed with the precious input of F1 driver David Coulthard, who tuned it for its driver to have a unique driving experience.
At the time of its presentation at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show, the 571PS M159 engine on the SLS AMG was the most powerful series production engine ever produced.
