As big fans of the ‘70s Airheads, we’re pleased to be able to offer what must be the ultimate evolution of the breed.
This particular bike is coming to us from long term ownership, and had covered only 42k documented miles from new.
I’ve had the opportunity to ride the bike, and can confirm that as you’d expect at this low mileage, it runs and rides as a good boxer should. Excellent oil pressure and compressions, charging well, leak free, and the quietest of motors.
The only real criticism of the bike is the paintwork, which although original, has been poorly touched up on the top of the tank. Some could live with it..... but i think it deserves being done. Despite covering only a few hundred miles in recent years, everything works as it should, and there is an mot till late this year. Tyres are like new, and the bike has many quality extras, such as full, three piece Givi luggage, hard wired intercom system, heated grips, twin discs, crash bars, screen, etc.
These R100R’s are increasingly sought after, and with a little remedial work on cosmetics, we would probably look to retail this one @ £4295, so surely a great buy at this price.
