Description
This 1973 Series 3 V12 was fully restored over a number of years being finished by ourselves in 2017 with no expense spared. This car features many upgrades transforming this E-Type into a true sports car of its era. Presented in Jaguar dark blue and paired with a red leather interior and red mohair hood creating an authentic Jaguar combination.
Originally the car was a USA export car and was brought back to the UK where the current owner acquired it in auction in 2012. The E-Type was in need of a full restoration overhaul which the owner commissioned. With the majority of the restoration complete to a very high standard John Chatham cars had the pleasure of doing the final finishing touched to this beautiful restoration. For driving ease the E-Type was converted to right-hand drive and in the pursuit of sports car performance was fitted with a 5-speed manual transmission, leaps head from its factory automatic set up. As with many other upgrades the cars was fitted with a brand new SU carburettor conversion transforming the drivability of the engine.
Since the restoration has been completed the car has covered vey minimal miles proving to be a very refined and enjoyable drive. When not being used the car is sat in a dehumidified storage facility with a battery conditioner making sure it stays in perfect condition for those sunny days.
