We are delighted to have another (almost) “1 owner from new” Boxster 2. 7 to Flat Six Classics. Like our Lapis Blue 35k 2002 car, LK03XUW was ordered as a company vehicle by its owner when she worked for Prudential Insurance, in July 2003. Her Boxster clocked up the miles (44, 000 in the first three years), and was serviced meticulously by Porsche Centre West London in Chiswick, as you would expect given its status as a lease car owned by a major financial firm.
At the end of the lease, Ms. Walden bought the car from her employer at 46, 000 miles in January 2007 (for £17, 850, letter on file), and kept LK03XUW for a further 12 years, during which time all servicing and maintenance work was carried out by her local garage, a well known Aston Martin specialist. The car was finally sold just a couple of months ago in February 2019 when she was persuaded to buy an Aston Martin, however the second owner fell foul of the “buying sports car before asking permission” rule, and we took the car into stock in May 2019. So the V5C shows 3 owners in total, although the first was Prudential, the second the original driver, and the third for just a few weeks earlier this year.
This facelift Boxster 2. 7 is presented in “triple black” – Basalt Black metallic paint, black interior and black hood, and marks another first for Flat Six Classics – amazingly, the Porsche umbrella that was supplied with every new Boxster (and fits in the door sill cubby on the passenger side) is still with the car. We have bought nearly 50 Boxsters in the past 18 months, and this is the first with the umbrella present.
LK03XUW has some nice options fitted: extended black leather to door cards and dashboard, Litronic Xenon headlamps with washers, and PSM Porsche Stability Management.
Before sale, we will be carrying out a Major service, brake fluid change, spark plugs, replacing the AC condensers, and fitting new front and rear brake discs and pads.
