Despatched from the Abingdon factory on the 18th October 1967, this Austin Healey 3000 MkIII is a desirable, final production BJ8 Phase II model and one of the last 300 built. Presented in Healey Blue Metallic with Ivory Duotone, Aluminium Silver wire wheels and a Navy hide leather interior.
The car is especially well specified with factory options including overdrive, an adjustable steering column and full wet weather gear including a tonneau – useful features not found on all cars. Today, the car is presented in a yet higher specification still, featuring one of our performance road engines of which the specification includes: an aluminium performance head, road performance camshaft, a lightened flywheel, tubular exhaust manifold, large bore exhaust, spin-on oil filter, alternator conversion plus a large core radiator. The car retains its original engine, matching the supplied heritage certificate.
The car presents very nicely having covered just 7, 000 miles in the last 12 years and having been restored in 2000. Mechanical condition is strong, with good oil pressure and very nice performance. The interior is clean and shows little wear since restoration, with small items such as the centre console having been recently re-upholstered. The car will be supplied with four new Blockley tyres and fully serviced.
