1937 Austin 7 'AAL' Four Seat Tourer
The final version of the Austin 7 Tourer was the AAL series, which ran from August 1936 until production of all Sevens ceased in January 1939. Often incorrectly referred as a Ruby Tourer, the correct designation for this model was the Open Road Tourer.
Presented for sale here - this Austin 7 AAL Four Seat Tourer would appear to have had just 4 previous owners. One owner having kept the car for some 42 years. Just recently she completed the Bean Car Club Daffodil Run from Heckfield to Christchurch. Whilst the car would benefit from some cosmetic tlc the interior trim and weather equipment are all in good order and the car runs well. The interior is very good having been retrimmed a few years ago.
This car has come to us in part exchange for a larger pre-war Austin.
A large file of paperwork includes MOTs, and tax discs some of which date back to 1948 as well as a Buff RF60 log book from 1957. The car retains its original Buckinghamshire registration number.
Clearly the car as been used and enjoyed over many years on numerous events and she is now ready for a new custodian. There are very few of this model currently in running order and she presents as an ideal useable vehicle from which to improve.
