Description
1962 JAGUAR SERIES 1 3. 8 FHC
Heritage certificate states Date of Manufacture 26th August 1962.
This original RHD UK (one of 746 cars made) supplied car was sold via Henlys to the Tourist Trophy Garage in Farnham. The current owner purchased it on the 23rd June 1987.
A matching numbers car, it was restored around 20 years ago and repainted Carmen Red (originally Opalescent Dark Blue). The interior was retrimmed in the original Grey. The car retains its 3. 07 ratio differential.
A few sensible upgrades have been carried out:
· Coopercraft front brake callipers
· Coolcat radiator fan.
· Alternator.
This is a nice driving car (the current owner completed a recent trip to Monaco with no problems) and would benefit from a few small jobs sorting out (could be easily carried out by a home mechanic. We would be happy to quote for the work).
There are a number of old photographs of the car during restoration and the original buff log book and heritage certificate are present. Interestingly, the car is one chassis number away from that famous old racer, CUT8.
Price £95000. 00
