Border Reivers are delighted to offer this amazingly prepared right hand drive Porsche 356A rally car from 1956. People usually say (tongue in cheek) it was a no expense restoration, well this was & we have the paperwork to back it up. Restored by Porsche specialist Gant speed, we have a letter in the file from Gant Speed saying the cost of the restoration was in excess of £100k (more like £150k) and they, have done an insurance valuation for circa £42, 500. 00.
Money continued to be poured into this car as it was prepared for the Liege-Rome-Leige (twice), Monte Carlo (twice), The Italian Job, London - Lisboa, 356 meeting in Holland 2001, Rallye des Alpes, Marathon Rally, The winter Rally, etc.
