My Rover is in Fantastic condition. I am a photographer that just loves classic cars, please look at my website for more pics of this one... vanmartin. net.
CPM552K, Chassis number 840-07036C was built in December 1970 and was dispatched through Moore of Brighton Ltd to Walder and Mac Creadie Lewes Road Linfield Haywards Heath who supplied it to Mr and Mrs LW Edwards on 11th January 1972.
They kept the car 9 years and clocked up 28, 000 miles. 3 further owners on the South Coast had her up to 1992 when it was acquired by Mr Smith of Warrington. It now was showing 44, 750 miles.
Mr Smith was the proud owner till 2009. During his ownership the car was well known to the P5 Owner Club and featured on their stand at numerous shows as well appearing at various rallies throughout the UK.
He treated the car to a full respray in 1992, rechrome in 1993, new carpets in 1993 and full nut and bolt engine rebuild in 1994 along with a brake and steering overhaul
In 2009 the car was acquired by a well known classic car dealer in Waterford Ireland who kept and maintained the car for several years.
The extensive history files contain the owners book pack, old V5s, 23 old MOTs, copy DVLA owners records, correspondence with these owners, photo album of the works carried out along with appearances at various shows and runs, a framed Heritage Certificate, numerous receipts along with a copy of a Classic Car Weekly from 1993 when the car appeared on the front cover.
Now showing 61, 800 miles, the car was recently refreshed with a new battery, 4 new tyres. It starts first time, the bodywork, interior, engine bay and chrome still present to high standard. Totally solid underneath
Original specification throughout, the original tool kit is present and intact. A period radio is fitted and working, listening to MW brings back memories! An electric choke conversion ensure easy starting. Even the heater, and its independent fan under the rear passenger seats work as they should. This is the rarer non rear bench seat, in my opinion looks far more refined. As you can see it has ET headrests.
Perfect for weddings as there is much more room in the back compared to the coupe.
Very recent service, tune up, rolling road, and engine bay detailing. If I was to keep, I would find a new windscreen seal and fix the slight blow from the exhaust.
I am only selling as my dream car has just arrived and I cannot justify having 7 cars!
My car drives absolutely lovely and wafts along with grace and dignity.
It looks better in real life!
It is always best to call
