Overview
The Capri 3. 0 has a naturally aspirated V6 petrol engine This engine produces a maximum power of 136 HP at 5000 rpm and a maximum torque of 235 Nm at 3000 rpm. The power is transmitted to the road by the rear wheel drive (RWD) with a 4 speed Manual gearbox. About chassis details responsible for road holding, handling behaviour and ride comfort, the Capri has Independent McPherson coil springs, anti-roll bar front suspension and rigid axle Leaf Spring anti-roll bar rear suspension. Stock tire sizes are 185 / 70 on 13 inch rims at the front, and 185 / 70 on 13 inch rims at the rear. For stopping power, the Capri 3. 0 braking system includes Discs at the front and Drums at the rear.
Bodywork & Interior
A professional bodyshop completed the work with a very high quality respray. All outer trim, bumpers etc were repainted in the correct satin black. The interior is in excellent condition throughout and the very rare “fishnet” Recaro seats are as clean as you will find - no rips or sun damage. The dash top is also excellent with no cracks.
Mechanics
Mechanically, all running gear components were stripped, cleaned and repainted. Nothing was refitted in a rusty state. The engine and suspension is upgraded to make this 3. 0s very quick and really stand out from the crowd.
Documentation
Genuine factory black car which is one of the last eight 3. 0s models built in July 1981 at which time the 2. 8 Injection was already on sale. Full nut and bolt restoration completed in February of 2015 with minimal dry mileage since. The car was totally stripped to a bare shell and repaired to a very high standard using the best parts available including genuine Ford front wings, doors and tailgate.
