Description
1989 Mercedes 300se converted to Diesel OM603 engine
The engine was profesionaly converted in 2009, the current mileage is 132, 398. I was told the enginge used in the swap was of similar mileage.
The car runs brilliantly, you would be amazed how smooth it is once up to speed, it keeps up with modern traffic well.
Good points
-Long Mot
-Recently Serviced (new oil filter/ oil/ air filter)
-2 Brand new rear tyres (front tyres have lots of tread left on them)
-Brand new Bosch Battery
-Surprisingly economical (I've been achieveing 35-38mpg)
-Sunroof and radio ariel work well
Bad Points
-Surface rust on the wheel arches and a little on the roof
-Various scratches and dings on the body work
-The interior is grubby and has some broken trim peices
-Heater blower doesn't work
Not the prettiest of mercs and has defintley had a life but it is presentable and drives well. Its incredibly econmical for a 30 year old car.
