This is a truly unique, wonderful example. This outstanding Ford Prefect was last sold by us in 2015 to a lady owner who has enjoyed using the car on a regular basis and its often featured on the North Yorkshire show circuit.
8017 CR has the most exceptional history file dating back to 1960 and the file contains service records from new in the form of three extensive hand written sets of notes. There are hundreds of pages detailing mileage, maintenance and many outings and MOT certificates dating back to 1965. The Ford also had one owner from the 1960's into the late 1980's and has been kept in beautiful condition its whole life. The car still retains its original registration mark and is a true time warp.
8017 CR has superb bodywork with excellent straight panels and delightful older paintwork. The underside of the car is truly outstanding in every respect, the engine bay and boot beautifully detailed and the car retains a top class upholstery. As expected with such beautiful cosmetic condition and the extensive history, the car is in excellent mechanical order. It drives wonderfully, performs perfectly and is first class in every respect.
Vehicles like this are hard to find, it is clear the long term owner treated this as his pride and joy and since parting with it careful enthusiasts have owned and looked after the car. This has to be one of best, original Prefect 107E cars left in existance and this example will most certainly not dissapoint.
