Here is my lovely 350SL. It's in a wonderful period light green with dark green interior. Under my watch, always garaged and never taken out in the rain.
This car is a cut above most out there, she has had a recent respray and has a sound rust free chassis, chrome is in fantastic condition (expensive fix). Hardtop is faultless, hood in really good condition as you should be able to see in all the detail shots here.
Interior wise the dashboard has none of the usual cracks, a sure sign it's been garaged away from direct sunlight. Interior is the ultra hard wearing MB Tex, slight discolouration on the the drivers bolster but no holes.
Just had a major service including Injector service inc pipes and seals that came to £1221. 34. So all issues with perished seals and pipes making these older cars fire hazards are solved, always run on maximum octane fuel since.
Also in photos you can see a lot of new parts in the engine bay.
V8 engine runs beautifully and shouldn't be confused with the much less characterful straight 6 in the later 300SL, I can supply a cold start video upon request.
Added bonus is I have a period Becker stereo included which I've not installed yet included.
Known issues, Upon a cold start she needs, a gentle foot on the gas for a couple of minutes to prevent stalling, human choke, warm start no problem (the cold start video show me doing this).
A few bubbles under the paint on the boot lid around the 350SL badge (shown on the detail pic).
Windscreen washer system not working, not really an issue if it's for fair weather driving.
Only selling due my rented garage demolishment for new build flats and there is no way I will let it do a winter parked on the roadside. Car is extremely cheap to insure and run being £0 road tax, MOT and ULEZ, congestion charge exempt.
Private plate included and black and silver plates are legal due to the age of the car. low reserve on this car due to a previous owner passing away and the service history being lost in probate. I purchased a reprint of the original owners manual. But be under no illusion cars in this condition with extensive history are selling for over £20k.
