Craner Classics are pleased to announce the sale of our 1964 Humber Sceptre Mark I, presented in a refined two-tone coffee and cream colour combination, and complete with its original buff logbook.

The Humber Sceptre was the family man's sports car of the '60s. This one is powered by a 1600cc engine which runs superbly, helping it keep up with modern traffic, and the car has a solid but nimble feel to it, a great car to drive or to display.
The original owner, a Mr. Kosky of Harefield, Middlesex, sold the car to its second owner in 1976, who then held on to the car for nearly 40 years. The fact that the car still has its original air filter box suggests a well looked-after car; the original boxes are rarely found on Humber Sceptres nowadays as they have usually rotted away. This particular Humber Sceptre is one of the rarer models, being a very early version distinguished by its filler neck located close to the rear window, as opposed to later models which had a chrome cap set further back into the rear wing.
Our 55-year-old Sceptre has clearly been well maintained, and the close-ups of the valances show the impressive condition of its paintwork, with the arches, sills and front wings all free of rust.
The interior is also in outstanding condition with freshly fitted carpets to complement the stunning exterior.
Mark 1 Humber Sceptres have become a very desirable classic car and rarely come onto the market nowadays, with prices steadily rising. They are selling for as much as £12, 000. This well-preserved specimen is priced at a very reasonable £7, 995 for a quick sale.
