1993 – TVR GRIFFITH 500 – “MISSION POSSIBLE”
Str8six does not have the time or manpower to bring this car up to spec in a sensible timescale. So we are offering it as a Trade Sale on a “Spares or Repairs” basis, and with no Warranty implied or given.
As such it is a very inexpensive car - one to buy and to bring back to full operating condition!
There’s Good News and then there’s Some Not so Good News!
On the Plus side, this is an undamaged 1993 TVR Griffith 500, with all componentry present. The car is finished in an attractive colour combination – Black with a Cream interior – and the seats and carpets are in acceptable condition. The engine starts and runs, although it needs a new camshaft. The car will retain its distinctive TVR Registration Number – L4 TVR – valued at some £4000.
On the negative side, the car has been off the road for some 12 years. Unsurprisingly it now needs new Clutch and Brake Master Cylinders. The brakes are binding but the car does roll. Inspection shows the chassis is corroded and holed in the o/ s outrigger.
Objectively, the car would benefit from a full body off chassis restoration. That would be a good time to address the corroded suspension components, the coil-bound front springs and the tired suspension bushes.
But this is a fully viable Griffith 500 Rebuild Project ! And it may not be relevant to your plan, but this Griff is eligible for export to Canada - AND even to the USA!!
As this vehicle does not drive and will require trailering to its new home delivery to your preferred address up to 100 miles is inc in the price.
