The Peugeot 205 GTI holds a very special place in the hot hatch world. In fact, it is arguably the greatest model of its species.
This original Irish 1. 9 example was supplied by Gowan Motors in 1991 and is a desirable non-cat, non-power steering, non-sunroof model in the best colour combination.
The exterior has been treated to a fresh coat of black paint to a very high standard and the 16” Speedline wheels have been refurbished. The black and red trim is perfect, too.
Inside, the 1. 9 specific half-leather interior is excellent and the seats don’t have the usual collapsed bolstering. The original red carpets have aged very well, also.
The car drives superbly, too. The legendary torquey 1. 9 engine pulls strongly, the steering provides the most amazing feedback, and the sharp brakes egg you on to drive harder and harder. It is a pure driving experience.
Complete with its original stamped service book, and having just had a new timing belt and service, this awesome 205 GTI is ready to be thrashed on the backroads of your choice.
