First French fuel-injected engine
This Peugeot 404 Injection coupé with Kugelfischer fuel injection was first registered in France on 5 October 1966. On 6 September 1990, it changed hands, still in France, before passing through Portugal and the Netherlands in 1996, then to Neuss (North Rhine-Westphalia) in 2013. The Neuss owner had the car largely dismantled, the bodywork completely restored and resprayed in a metallic gold finish of his choice. This process is documented by 255 photographs. All mechanical components were thoroughly overhauled, but the interior was preserved in its original condition. About two years ago, this owner passed away and his brother inherited the coupé. Although the brother himself owns classic cars, he wishes to sell the Peugeot and has entrusted it to us for this purpose. Upon the vehicle's arrival at the seller's workshop, new brake cylinders and brake pads were fitted to all four brakes and the engine bay underwent cryogenic cleaning.
