DSU 263 represents an ideal opportunity to enter the ultra-rare, original right-hand drive home market two-seat six-cylinder Healey (one of just 133) at a very affordable price. Built on 14-17th July 1958, this Healey retains its original engine and features wire wheels, a heater and an overdrive gearbox (rebuilt just 500 miles ago by a Healey specialist).
The two-seat roadster 100/ 6 or BN6 introduced some very major updates to the 100/ 6 platform. Most notably these cars received a heavily rework engine producing much more power than earlier cars, more comfortable seats and strengthening improvements to the chassis. This particular car being a sweet spot in early BN6 production where a few cars received the very desirable ‘ridged’ or creased bonnet, a feature that rarely appears on these cars due to BMC cost cutting measures later employed.
With MOT history showing not a single advisory from 2020 back to 1987 this Healey clearly has been exceptionally reliable and kept mechanically sound throughout this period. Other items in the history file include a British Motor Heritage Trust certificate, invoices and tax discs.
