The fixed roof, GT version of the MGB arrived in 1965. It was styled by Pininfarina and was a 2+2 design with more luggage space than the convertible and slightly higher top speed thanks to improved aerodynamics.
This car is a 1967 MGB GT in Mineral blue and is fitted with optional overdrive gearbox and “Britax” full length folding sunroof. This car came to us as a part exchange on another classic. It presents beautifully having been treated to a comprehensive restoration by its last owner - too much to list here - but just about every component under the car has been renewed or replaced including all of the braking steering and suspension components. It has also been fitted with a new fuel tank, “Gaz” adjustable rear shocks, Kenlowe fan and rear disc brake conversion, various new bushes and seals and new chrome bumpers. The interior has also been refurbished with new carpets, piped leather seats and door cards, wooden rimmed steering wheel, MGB “LE” alloys and it has a minormodification to the rear load area to allow more storage space..
This is not a concours car, but an excellent home restoration and a huge amount of money and time have been lavished on it. It drives very well with working overdrive, presents beautifully and draws much attention whenever it is parked up.
