Lotus Esprit S2 JPS No. 40 of 100 Limited Edition, 1979. Fantastic original example. We sold this one in 1991 nearly 30 years ago and subsequently again 5 years ago and we are delighted to have it back in stock. One of the most original JPS Esprits we have ever seen, with extremely original interior, having never been re-trimmed as many have. I have driven many hundreds of Esprits from the late 1970’s to date and I can say that this is one of the best I have driven in terms of smoothness, with a fantastically smooth silky gear-change. It really is an absolute joy. When we sold the Esprit in 1991 it had done 35, 000 and has since progressed to 55, 000 miles with a very comprehensive history file. Last year over £3, 000 was spent on miscellaneous items, such as carb overhaul, new fuel pump, cam-cover gaskets, electronic ignition, new timing-belt, full service, powder coated wheels, wheel centres, radius arm bushes and much more to bring the Esprit up to tip-top condition. Will come fully serviced and MOT’d.
