Welcome to our sale of the much-admired 'Edna'... the pristine Citroen 2CV6 Special, 1987.
Reg. E255 DNA.
‘Edna’ starts on the button, drives superbly, and looks entirely ‘as new’. She is ready to go anywhere without ANYTHING needing to be done.
Whilst she has enjoyed a cosseted, garaged and dry-use life since full restoration in 2018, I have thoroughly prepared her for all-year-round use and she would make a reliable and practical ‘daily-driver’… just as Citroen intended!
CONDITION & RENOVATION SUMMARY...
72, 000 genuine miles. MOT to June 2021. Registered 30. 09. 1987
Immaculate condition throughout with NO RUST anywhere.
Drives faultlessly with EVERYTHING working as it should.
Full ‘body-off’ restoration and bare-metal re-paint to a high standard completed summer 2018.
New galvanised chassis with aluminium floor panels.
Professional Dinitrol (Drohnex 445) underbody & body cavity wax (ML 3125) rust-proof treatment throughout.
New seating (frames, springing and covers) and all interior trim.
Superb vibrant red (Rouge Vallenlunga) paintwork with new seats and covers in ‘Special’ (ecossaise) fabric.
Set of 4 new Maxxis AP2 All Season 135/ 80 R15 M+S tyres just fitted on new Michelin rims. Good, but older, set of Michelins available foc. Tracking done.
Accurate & reliable '123' Electronic Ignition fitted.
Fully/ professionally serviced (May/ June 2020) to include…
- new clutch kit
- full brake overhaul to include… new front (discs/ pads) & new rear (drums), handbrake & LHM brake fluid change
- refresh electrics with new… alternator, Exide battery, white dry ignition coil, voltage regulator, HT lead (Bougicord) set, NGK Iridium plugs.
- engine oil flush (Wurth), oil filter & refill with 20/ 50 classic. New Oil Breather/ Filler unit.
- carburettor clean, refurbish and fit with larger ‘107’ primary jet. Fuel filter renewed.
- complete set of 4 new Burton performance shock absorbers fitted.
- valve clearances checked adjusted and new rocker cover gaskets fitted.
- all heater/ vent tubes renewed & dump pipes upgraded to rubber type.
- full ‘lube’ service… kingpins, knife-edges, spring tubes, driveshafts & renew gearbox oil.
The sunroof fabric is completely waterproof and in excellent condition. It has just been ‘Renovo’ cleaned and re-proofed.
The boot area has been upgraded to include...
- a bespoke removable luggage 'floor' which sits comfortably over the spare wheel. Smart, strong, light, rattle-free and non-slip, it protects the spare wheel and provides a nice flat platform for stowing bags & cases without losing space. Pics available.
- rubber buffers to hold the spare wheel in place
- a new tailored boot-well mat (5 mm rubber) with cut-out for drain/ vent hole
The boot also has a smart new padded stowage bag for the original jack and the jack handle/ starter handle/ wheel brace... there's room in this for a tool roll & sundries.
'Enda's boot is now very smart, tidy and practical.
Documentation includes Owners Handbook etc., Haynes Manual, service & parts invoices. New radiator muff. Two full sets of keys.

Ps. I have a good new Sony radio/ cd player, new original-type 2CV aerial, and quality bespoke concealed speakers available for ‘Edna’. I had intended to fit these, but prefer the car ‘au naturel’. Happy to include these in the sale price and can also arrange fitting if required.
