1983 PORSCHE 911SC FOR SALE
The Porsche 911 is a two door, 2+2 high performance rear-engined sports car. Introduced in September 1964 by Porsche AG of Stuttgart, Germany. It has a rear mounted flat six engine and all round independent suspension. It has undergone continuous development, though the basic concept has remained unchanged. The engines were air cooled until the introduction of the Type 996 in 1998, with the 993, produced from 1994-1998 model years, being the last of the air cooled Porsche sports cars. In 1978, Porsche introduced the new version of the 911, called the 911SC. Porsche reintroduced the SC designation for the first time since the 356SC. It featured a 3. 0 liter aluminum engine with Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection and a 5 speed 915 transmission. Originally power output was 180 hp, and then in 1981 it was increased to 201 hp. 1983 was the last year of the 911SC.
1983 Porsche 911SC Targa. This vehicle has the original 3. 0 liter flat six engine with a manual five speed gearbox. The car is mechanically sound and is a blast to drive. Previous owner had an upgraded oil cooler installed and the gearbox rebuilt around 5, 000 miles ago. These engines are known to be one of the best engines Porsche ever made. Has 170, 775 original miles. Has four wheel disc brakes. We just replaced the fuel sender. We have a bunch of paperwork and history of the work done to the vehicle. Has the tool kit with a Porsche bag to hold it. Paint on the car is in very nice condition. Is currently registered until November 2020. As far as we know it has always been in California.
The interior of the vehicle was redone. We have the receipts showing around $7, 000 spent on just the interior. Targa top was also redone. Has all the original gauges and they are all working as they should. The windows are electric and work good. Has the original Porsche steering wheel. All the glass on the vehicle is in good condition. This vehicle is solid with no rust. Beautiful color combination. Original spare tire.
